Kitchen Design Trend Predictions for 2025
With the end of 2024 approaching and projects being planned for the new year, let’s take a look into what to expect with kitchen design trends in 2025!
Bold Countertops
Bold countertops are having a moment right now whether it’s striking veining or bold colors, homeowners are introducing more visual interest into their spaces. The sought-after white and grey marble with delicate veins has slowly been shifting to warmer hues with darker veins.
Warm Tones
These warmer tones carry into the trends for cabinetry finish selections. We’ve already seen the transition from grey stained wood to be warmer and more natural, this will carry into 2025, pairing well with softer whites such as White Dove. Multi-toned kitchens will continue in popularity and carry into the new year.
Decorative Range Hood
At Two30Nine we try and include a decorative range hood into our kitchen designs and this is a design choice that won’t be changing as more and more people are wanting to remove the look of appliances from their space. Along with decorative hoods, panel ready dishwashers and refrigerators are also gaining in popularity to help create a more seamless look with the kitchen.
Concealed Work Spaces
With wanting to “remove” appliance from kitchens, concealed work zones have also been on the rise. Countertop wall cabinets are a great wall for storing everyday small appliances such as a toaster, air fryer, and coffee maker. Integrating custom storage features like this are gaining popularity as they create a tailored space to the homeowners lifestyle. You can go one step further and conceal whole work zones, have a desk or hosting zone you want to close off when not in use. This is easily executed with the use of our Hawa pocket doors.
Glass Doors
Display space will still be an important part of kitchen design with a slow shift to covered displays. Floating shelves are still a popular choice, but you will see an increase of glass doors as a way to display items while keeping them clean.
With each new year comes the opportunity to be creative and add more style an functionality to your home. Planning or thinking about a kitchen renovation next year? Come and visit one of our showrooms for inspiration – Winnipeg or Morden.
