In this kitchen renovation, we focused on enhancing existing elements rather than making unnecessary changes. The homeowner’s layout already functioned perfectly for her needs, and the island, crafted from specially sourced wood, was a must-keep that set the tone for the design.
Key features included floating corner shelves that created an open, airy feel and provided extra display space for cookbooks. An updated appliance garage and a custom hood with a built-in shelf added both function and style. Timeless charm came through finishing details like antique glass, arched trims, and distressed wood elements. To tie everything together with the rest of the home, we added a wood coffee bar and dining area that complemented the nearby library.
